The National Statistical Institute informs the users of statistical information that the publication 'Classification of Fields of Education and Training 2008' is already available (in Bulgarian only). This classification is used for the purpose of classifying programmes according to fields of education and training.
The publication contains an introduction, structure and explanatory notes. The classifications' structure has three hierarchical levels - first level for 'broad fields', second level 'narrow fields' and third level 'detailed fields'. There are 9 broad fields, 25 narrow fields and 80 detailed fields.
The Classification of Fields of Education and Training is applying mainly for the education statistics. It is also used in different statistical surveys - survey for adults' education and training, labour force survey, continuing vocational training and etc.
The National Statistical Institute also offers to users of statistical information a printed version of the publication.
